DISPLAY CASE for ship models
Like ship models, we
only make premium cases. Many manufacturers marketed their products to us but upon
in-person examination, we couldn't accept their
quality. Therefore, although it's not fun to make
display cases (compared to model ships), we must
make them
in-house.
We have two types of
case: semi-assembled and fully-assembled. Note that
a case doesn't come with a table. For table, we
recommend Shaker Writing Desk or Sofa Table.
I/Fully-assembled:
We are the only company that offers fully assembled
display cases. The acrylic is cell cast which is the
highest quality acrylic. It is crystal clear,
scratch resistant, and 10 times stronger than glass
but half the weight. Since 2006, we no longer use
glass for display cases as glass must be either very
thin (looks cheap) or very heavy. Since our premium
quality cases are made not by a third party, they
are offered at the lowest market prices.
We make three types of base below:

1/Prices include crating materials and labor
(about $250) and
shipping and insurance costs
in the contiguous USA
(about $400). 2/ Prices are for cases ordered together
with a model.
If ordered after the model is completed or without a
model, there will be
extra work involved and the extra cost is $200.)

height of the case (not the model ship) during the
checkout process. We recommend the top acrylic
be about 2" taller than the ship model.

II/Semi-assembled:
We design this case
for your convenience. Setting it up is extremely
easy and should take less than 30 minutes.
Like our ship models, our cases are made for
discerning collectors, as shown in the photo below. Our
lighting feature is also exclusive.
We
can make this type of case for 36" and under in
length only. It takes
about 6 weeks to complete. Please let us
know of the approximate size for a quote:

guidance, a 36"
long x 15" tall x 10" wide is $1,250.

Light feature: All case types can
have light feature. However, for the fully assembled
cases, we must add a frame around the edges to cover
the running wire inside. In order words, a
lighted case must have a frame. The cost for the
frame and the light feature is $600-$900, depending
on the size of the case. |
