ModelShipMaster.com is a U.S. company located in southern California, about 25 miles south of Los Angeles International Airport. The company was founded in 2000.

In May 2009, the accuracy level of our models caught the attention of Mr. Ray Ashley--president of the Maritime Museum of San Diego-- who commissioned four ships. Today, our models have been featured in major museums such as the Smithsonian Museum, Coast Guard Museum NorthWest, Mariners' Museum, Museum of Science and Industry, National Museum of the American Sailor. Training centers value accuracy the most, and our models are displayed in the United States Naval War College, U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Naval Postgraduate School. Not only reputable public institutions, private shipyards and many cruise ship operators also contact us when they have a need.

Our team loves to learn and learns fast. In 2019, when the owners of the company decided to expand the submarine line, we diligently studied the history of submarine developments. Soon after, we became the only one in the world that scratch builds correct sub models. There are important exterior parts/features that submariners know only our models portray correctly.

ModelShipMaster's ability to make ship models is far superior than that of any other firms. Take our Coast Guard line as an example. We started the line in 2020 - more than 10 years after a prominent Coast Guard model maker, and by 2022, all of our Coast Guard models are much better, and the Coast Guard Museum Northwest reached out to commission a model in 2023 and another in 2024. Another example is the iconic USS Monitor that we built in 2020 for Mr. Dwight S. Hughes-a Civil War navy historian, and in 2022 for National Museum of the American Sailor.

Being explorers by heart, we have pioneered many features that give ship models the level of sophistication hardly existed before. Nowhere else you can see stunning micro woodworking on wood parts, spectacular details on guns and aircraft on warships, captivating lighting on yacht models, advanced remote control functions, and many more. Without our passion, majestic models of maritime marvels such as the Wonder of the Seas and Paul Allen's Octopus superyacht would have never existed.

Economywise, what separates ModelShipMaster from the rest of the model ship business is that we care more about our patrons' prestige than money. As you might have known, ModelShipMaster is the only company in the USA who does not mix junk in its offerings. We sell what we produce; no dropshipping, no horrible items in our lineup.

After over 20 years of gratifying work, many members in our team start thinking about creating the world's first comprehensive maritime museum. We have visited many nautical museums and felt that the ship models in there seemed to be collected randomly by many successive curators and, as a result, the museums offer very little educational benefit. Our envisioned museum will have many spacious rooms, each features one type of ships and changing themes (i.e. Maritime Innovations that Changed the World, Naval Battles that Shape the Future, Historic Submarines, Famous Yachts, Mega Ships, Most Loved Boats.) In the front stand several massive 15'-20' models. Outside, we plan to have a pond to reenact famous battles (the ships are connected to runways on the bottom of the pond and the whole acts are computerized.) We hope that with the creation of this museum, many schools will start to offer a class about maritime history, authors will collaborate to write text books, and southern California will have one more great place for millions of global tourists. When private benefactors and corporate sponsors participate, the museum will be able to give free admissions on certain days of the year. This endeavor requires high finance and we need assistance, investment, or partnership. We are sure many cities and counties will be eager to fund parts of the project.
