VENUS superyacht
The Venus
superyacht was designed by Steve Jobs and the famous
designer Philippe Starck. Jobs intended the vessel to be his
swan-song, after his terminal health problem was brought
to light. Venus embodies the sleek minimalism that
defined Apple’s revolutionary products. They
meticulously refined it to mirror Jobs’ famous attention
to detail. “We spent just one day every six weeks, for 5
years, on refinements. Millimetre by millimetre. Detail
by detail,” Starck recounted.
The result was a yacht
that defied industry conventions. While other vessels
competed to showcase opulence, yacht Venus pursued what
Starck called “the elegance of minimum”.
“There is not a single useless item inside…. Not a
single useless pillow, or a useless object,” Starck
noted. “In that sense, it is the opposite of other
boats. Other boats try to show off more and more. Venus
is revolutionary. It is the extreme opposite.”
Superyacht Venus represents
many of the traits of the Apple engineering marvels. She
has a stream-lined hull that replicates the visual
effect of the Apple gadgetries. The mastless
motoryacht Venus is indeed an inventor’s masterpiece,
with her antennae and domes hidden within an
architectural statement -- a world's first. The Venus
superyacht also boasted 40-foot floor-to-ceiling windows
and an unprecedented amount of glass made by the chief
designer of the Apple Stores. Steve Jobs patented an iPhone-like
device--a 27-inch iMacs to control his Venus yacht.

Yacht Venus is in the list of 100 biggest
superyachts in
the world. She is faster and lighter than a typical
yacht because she was made out of aluminum. The
superyacht also boasts a huge sun deck with built-in jacuzzi
and an all-glass cabin. Venus was completed one year
after Steve Job died in 2011. Jobs’ family was so
impressed with their $140 million Venus superyacht that
they had gifted an iPod Shuffle with a thank-you note to
each of the hundreds of crew members who helped build
it.
