ORANGE FERRY

The Orange, together with the Dutchess, were the last ferries that served the New Yorkers when the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge was completed. On Sunday, November 3rd, 1963, (one day after the opening of the bridge), shortly after 5 P.M., the Dutchess and the Orange met at mid-river, signaled a final salute and formally retired the Newburgh-Beacon ferry into history after 220 years. For $2 drivers crossed the Hudson on the ferry for the last time and returned via the new bridge.

ORANGE FERRY

ORANGE FERRY model

We build this primarily wood Orange Ferry model in three sizes: 36", 30", and 24" long. Model is built per commission only. We require only a small deposit to start the process. The remaining balance won't be due until the model is completed. Please click here for lead time.

If you want a model of the Staten Island Ferry and do not want to own a junk model (with ridiculous railings, erroneous windows, wrong funnel, ect.), let us build one for you.

ModelShipMaster.com builds model ships of all types. We are unrivaled in whatever we do. To commission your favorite vessel, just click here to let us know of your preferences.
