BRILLIANCE of the SEAS
Compare this Brilliance of
the Seas model to all cruise models in the world to see
our far superiority in accuracy, materials, construction
method, and craftsmanship. A picture is worth a thousand
words. Be sure to look for large photos zooming in small
sections of the ship. We show our models' details in
large photos, at all angles. Nothing to hide!
Brilliance of the Seas is the second
Radiance-class ship in Royal Caribbean's fleet. The ship's mediumish size allows cruisers to feel they
have the best of both worlds: a vessel with ample
activities and crew who provide attentive service. The ship is
small enough to pass through canals and offer more
unique itineraries than larger ships in the fleet.
After about 2 1/2 years in
construction that cost $350 million,
Brilliance of the Seas was launched
in December, 2001.
She houses 2,543
passengers and 848 staff members. Passengers are
never at a loss for a view: the ship's stunning
nine-story central atrium is surrounded by glass, and
elevators face the outside. Nearly every public
area has a stunning view. About 75 percent of the
ship's cabins offer ocean views (and about half of those
come with balconies).
Brilliance of the Seas offers nine restaurants,
including six specialty options. The ship also provides
entertainment for the whole family, including poolside
movies, a three-story theater, a rock climbing wall and
a mini-golf course. While adults grab a cocktail at one
of the bars, kids and teens can enjoy age-appropriate
youth clubs, like the teens-only disco or the Royal
Babies & Tots nursery.

This primarily wood BRILLIANCE of the SEAS ship model features:
-
Scratch-built from official plans
-
Plank-on-frame,
hollow hull. This construction method gives
accurate hulls, as artisans create the frame of the hull
exactly like in drawings. The solid hull method, on the
other hand, employs most guesswork on the degree of
curvature.
- Windows and portholes are cutouts (not black decals),
uniform, and on straight lines. We are not shy
to show the model in large photos. Nothing to hide!
