MS CROWN of
SCANDINAVIA
The Crown of Scandinavia
is a large cruise ferry that is owned and operated by
the ferry company DFDS Seaways. She was built in 1992
for Euroway, but the company cancelled the order. She
was completed and sold instead to DFDS Seaways in 1994
where she was renamed as the Crown of Scandinavia.
Crown of Scandinavia currently serves on the route that
links Copenhagen, Denmark with Oslo, Norway. Her current
port of registry is Copenhagen, Denmark.
This
primarily wood MS Crown of Scandinavia model features:
-
Plank-on-frame hull. This
construction method gives accurate hulls, as artisans create the frame of the
hull exactly like in drawings. The solid hull method, on the other hand, employs
most guesswork on the degree of curvature.
- Windows and portholes are cutouts
(not black decals or painted indentation) which are clean,
uniform, and aligned. We are not shy
to show the model in large photos. Nothing to hide!

"I
received the long expected crown jewel yesterday. What a
fabulous piece of work. I am so impressed!
Especially the car deck with real working door hinges,
it just blew me away! This will be a family heirloom
from me to my son, who also couldn't stop staring when he
saw it... Thanks again modelshipmaster for making my
dreams come true! With the best regards, Max"
