We built this model from a
Saito kit Hercules tugboat. The owner of the kit, a
dentist, purchased the kit decades ago when it had been
just marketed. Per his requests, we made numerous
improvements to the kit. The most important is replacing
the plastic hull with a wooden hull and give it a
beautiful plank deck. Details such as the tiny hinges
had to be obtained from a special place after a lengthy
worldwide search. Also, the kit didn't come with the
beautiful base and cradles.
Model kits have some good things but they also have much to be improved. If
you have a model kit of any types and would like a
builder to improve it while building it, we are the only
commercial entity who can do that, and at a reasonable
